Q: Outlook Express: MSIMN illegel operation error
The error message/ detail for this problem:MSIMN caused an invalid page fault in module DIRECTDC.DLL at 0167:018e6b9b.
To resolve this behavior, use one of the following methods.
Method 1:
1. Check your inbox storage capacity. If near to or more than 255MB, please delete some mails at your inbox to clean out some space.
* The capacity for .dbx is 255MB.
Method 2:
1. If your inbox is full and cannot open, right click at inbox and click on "properties".
2. In properties, you can notice the path for inbox.dbx, highlight and copy the path. (For example, this is the path for inbox.dbx C:\Documents and Settings\choonfattho\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{5E7D81E9-2D66-4061-B801-C27CC208E2E1}\Microsoft\Outlook Express)
3. Open My Computer/Window Explorer, paste the path at the address bar and press enter. *Remember close the Outlook Express.
4. Rename the inbox.dbx. (For example, rename as 1inbox.dbx)
5. Copy the 1inbox.dbx and paste at D drive.
6. After paste at D drive, delete the 1inbox.dbx at C drive.
7. Open Outlook Express, there will automatic regenerate an empty inbox for you.
8. Create a folder name as "1inbox" and open the folder by click on it.
9. After create a folder, repeat step 2 and step 3 then close Outlook Express.
10. Inside the folder you can see there have an 1inbox.dbx
11. Copy the 1inbox.dbx at D drive and paste it into that folder.
12. It will replace the existed 1inbox.dbx with the old 1inbox.dbx.
13. Open Ooutlook Express again and click on 1inbox, the old mail/data will all restore there.
